Her father ran off with another woman and didn’t want
to take care of Anisha. Her mother
took Anisha from her father’s home because she knew that he wasn’t
caring for her. Unfortunately she was not able to give her proper
care because she has to look after her younger brother and is
very poor.
Her mother finds it very hard to find any kind of work
and therefore struggles to look after the one child. When she
arrived at NLCH she couldn’t say any English or Nepali alphabets
but now she has been given care and education she is working
very hard and doing very well at school. She is a very smart
and intelligent little girl who is a quick learner. When she
arrived at NLCH she used to say swear words and was very badly
behaved. However, under our loving care she has now become a
very well behaved and good little girl. She is in first place
in her class.

when he was 2 years old and his mother remarried and left him.
His mother couldn’t afford to look after all three children. She took his younger sister with her
but there was nobody to look after Akrosh
and his elder sister. We took him into the NLCH home and have
given him love, food, support, family and education. Now he
is an excellent student, a loving family member and very happy
in our home with his new brothers and sisters.
Akrosh is very musical
and has even written his own song about his life story. The
song tells about his broken heart when his father died and his
mother left him.

Pastor of Bethlehem church Kathmandu. She was originally brought to NLCH to work as a cook/maid but as she was of such a young age NLCH
offered her an education which she gratefully accepted. She
previously worked in her village carrying very heavy items on
her back and was not able to go to school.
Anita is very hard working and appreciates very much
the opportunities that we have given to her. She helps to look
after the children and works in thed
kitchen as well as studying laboriously. She is very conscientious
and hard working and is learning quickly. She is a very happy
young woman and has excellent hand writing. When Anita arrived we

and is too poor to look after her children. Anusha

him. He is very much part of our NCWA family and is starting
